The Silver Eye - Bhatair Character Sheet

I feel sort of bad as a storyteller because we haven't really seen the true Bhatair in flashbacks yet, only when he's around Joshua Shephard and very agitated. We've also never had a scene set in Bellingrath, all we've seen of Levant is in Cedulan. Bhatair seems to have a fluid personality that changed depending on whichever country he's in at the time.

The reality is that Bellingrath is poor and devastated after Antigone Shephard's war. Being king of it doesn't mean much. When Bhatair is in Cedulan, or in the presence of the Shephards, he desperately tries to make up for his country's frailty by assuming an appearance of power. Joshua and his family have a running joke that Bhatair only owns one single red jacket with gold lining, and he has it tailored slightly so it looks like he has a more impressive wardrobe than he does. It's not that far from the truth.
