Here is a second resource journal brought on because all the portraits I've been doing this week! The first journal was Stuff to Listen to While Drawing. This is basically a huge list of tutorials and references. At the end I talk about two 3D models of heads that have been super useful to me recently!

3D Models of Heads:
SketchUp!
In the 3D warehouse is a model called 3D head by DJS elite UK (it is a little polygonal, if you want to make it smoother–select the head, go to windows>soften edges and move the slider right) I like this head because: 1) it looks like Velvare 2) you can change the lighting by going to windows>shadows (shadows needs to be checked on in the View menu) This is really great for getting lighting on the face at whatever angle you want!

Posemaniacs Beta Head
This head looks like Bruce Willis, AKA my dad who also looks like Bruce Willis. I like it because 1) it is more realistic and masculine than the sketchup head 2) The tools for rotating the head are more user friendly here than Sketchup 3) since it’s a website, you don’t need to download anything, you just need the link 4) It has a feature to flip the model vertically which is very helpful! However, you can’t change the lighting here, so it just comes from straight forward. There are also 3D models of hands (and a foot) here that are super helpful as well.
Lil warning: it automatically opens to a model of a nude male torso, just so you're wary to follow the link when you’re in the living room with your sheltered homeschool family all around, because ahah. ahah. That’d be awkward. (It was only awkward in my head, I don’t think they even noticed) :XD:

That's about it. I shall be adding to this list as I come across more useful resources!
