A Lostie's Tutorial - Guide to Panel Variation by lostie815 A Lostie's Tutorial - Guide to Panel Variation by lostie815
These are the special types of panels that add interest to a comic page. Whenever I am thumbnailing, I keep this list in mind and try to add at least one to a page.

All these examples come from my webcomic, The Silver Eye: www.thesilvereye.com/

Daily Deviation

Given 2013-11-12
A Lostie's Tutorial - Guide to Panel Variation by ~lostie815 is a fantastic resource of creative and imaginative ways to turn your own comics into dynamic and striking page turners. This deviation is indeed helpful, but the artists obvious love for sequential art is what shines through and makes this tutorial stand out. ( Featured by kozispoon )

Is it just me, or are the top left panel in "repetition" and the far left panel in "foreshortening" from a scene we haven't seen in the Silver Eye yet? Was it cut out or something?

That was from a one page school project I did. I don't think it's posted anywhere on the internet, but it is from the scene where Bhatair and Gudrun meet, so it will show up in the comic eventually. :)

Thank you for posting this. We need more tutorials like this.

Though you seem to be aware of panel variation in general, I would suggest studying art a bit more to pull this off properly. The art looks wobbly and off in some panels.
